Newcomer Strategy Group has produced "Bridging Communities"

The Newcomer Strategy Group, along with Partner organisations from across the statutory and voluntary sector, representatives of 'newcomer' communities and other interested parties, have come together to produce "Bridging Communities" - the Telford & Wrekin Partnership Inter-agency Newcomers Strategy. The Strategy seeks to address issues that have been raised in response to the growing pressures on local resources from newcomers moving into and settling within the Borough.

Fewer Britons in work due to ageing population and emigration rather than migrants, says report

Demographic changes including an ageing population and rising emigration from Britain lie behind the fall in the number of UK-born people in work, rather than the arrival of new migrants, according to research published yesterday.
