Telford & Wrekin Safer & Stronger Communities Partnership: tackling the myths - zero tolerance to racism

This website has been created to help residents of Telford & Wrekin combat the myths that exist about migrant workers.

The campaign aims to reveal the truth that migrant workers from Central and Eastern Europe actually play a positive role in bringing new skills and cultural benefits to the Borough. Far from being a burden to the local economy, migrant workers help to ensure that vital everyday services are available to everyone.

The campaign features 5 posters which address some of the most commonly held misconceptions about migrant workers. The first poster was launched in January 2008. The next two posters will be released in March and the final two in May. Posters will be displayed across Telford & Wrekin in specific locations including community and leisure centres, libraries, and GP surgeries. These posters, once released, will be available to download from this website.

This campaign is about uniting communities together to highlight the positive impact that migrant workers from across the world have brought to Telford & Wrekin over the last 25 years.

Let's tackle the myths around migrant workers together and show that we have zero tolerance to racism - in whatever form it takes.
